I’m surprised we don’t have more fans with broken ankles…with all the jumping to conclusions I’ve been hearing. In fact, just hum Van Halen’s “Jump” while you’re reading this.
It’s amazing to me how folks have taken three news nuggets; re-worked the NASCAR schedule, closed one long-time track and, brought angst to the NASCAR universe.
The nuggets: Speedway Motorsports is buying Dover Motorsports, also, Marcus Smith of Speedway Motorsports says they’re working to re-open North Wilkesboro, and finally, Speedway Motorsports has a deal with Nashville’s mayor; the end goal of which is to brig Cup racing back to the Nashville Fairgrounds.
Some people have put those together and have come up with: Dover is closing, North Wilkesboro is getting a Cup date and Nashville may be getting two.
Wow! And, I thought the Kennedy shooting has conspiracies.
Full disclosure: PRN is part of Speedway Motorsports and I haven’t been a part of any backroom meetings nor know any dark secrets. But, instead of going full apocalypse, how about this thought: the Nashville Speedway race moves to the Fairgrounds, North Wilkesboro gets Xfinity and Truck dates (but not Cup) and Dover keeps their date?
Wasn’t that landing much easier on the ankles?
