With all the talk about the 2021 car you could look at 2020 as a gap year. But, there will still be trophies awarded and checks cashed. And, someone will earn a championship that will count just the same as all the previous ones.
We should also expect a lot of drama this year. I mean, we go into the year with a lot of questions to be answered.
Can Jimmie Johnson add a record 8th title to his career accomplishments? Or, can he just win another race? Or two more and climb to 4th on the all-time wins list?
Will the new Chevy Camaro be competitive?
Can Joe Gibbs Racing come close to repeating their 2019 year when they won more than half the races?
Can someone else join Johnson and Kyle Busch as multi-time champions or does Rowdy Nation celebrate again?
How will the highly-acclaimed rookies do?
Will the Pocono double-header signal a new era or be a one-and-done?
Those are only some of the questions we have now. More will come…as will the answers. Starting this week.
