For those who felt like two hour races weren’t long enough…congratulations, your complaints were heard by NASCAR.  The Roval will now take, at least, 2 hours and 20 minutes.  NASCAR has added back the stage break cautions they took away from road courses at the beginning of the year in an effort to reduce the number of caution laps and add strategy back into the road course races.

Speaking of caution laps; I don’t want to hear anyone complaining about how much time they’re spending under caution at the Roval because the laps are so long.  Or how many laps they’re burning when there aren’t that many in the race.

This is what you wanted.

You are willing to sacrifice green flag laps in the hope that you’ll get a couple of wild re-starts instead.

That’s fine.  Just understand that nothing is guaranteed.  And, sometimes getting what you wish for is not a good thing.
