It took us two years to get to see how NASCAR would race at the Circuit of the Americas; I’m not going to say it was worth sitting through the monsoon a year ago, but, once they got to run on a dry track, boy, did they put on a show!

I don’t know how long we’ll keep running at COTA, hopefully for a long time.  One thing is certain: the finish we got in the Cup race will be replayed over and over, and go onto the list of greatest finishes.

And, I think we need to throw some credit to this Next Gen car that NASCAR has developed.  We have heard since testing started that it was going to be really good on road courses.  First time out, those claims have been backed up.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s level-set expectations.  Every road course race won’t finish like this, nor will every race at COTA.  But, we can always hope, because we know it can be done.
