The Performance Racing Network (PRN) revealed a fresh look and sound for the nationally syndicated “Garage Pass” beginning in 2026, with Andrew Kurland and David Styles set to share hosting duties for the upcoming NASCAR season. For many years, the daily NASCAR news update, once known as “Winston Cup Today,” was hosted by veteran broadcaster Mark Garrow, who will retire at the end of 2025. This transition signals both the end of an era and a new beginning.
“Garage Pass has been one of our longest-running and most successful shows,” said PRN SVP and GM, Gerry Horn. "While we will certainly miss Mark and the fantastic job he did for many years, we are energized by the new direction that Andrew and David are taking with the show. We look forward to our affiliates and fans hearing the new Garage Pass in January.”
Kurland has been involved in NASCAR since he was a kid reporter at 12, creating content for a project he founded called Checkered Flag Crew, and contributing to NASCAR’s digital platform, NASCAR Acceleration Nation. An Arizona State University graduate, Kurland spent several years with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Dirty Mo Media, where he was a producer and on-air talent for shows like “Dale Jr. Download” and “Door Bumper Clear.” Now, in his full-time role with PRN, he will also appear regularly on PRN race broadcasts, serving as both a pit reporter and turn announcer.
“Whether I am pit reporting, on-air during the week, or just hanging out with my buddies, NASCAR racing always comes up in conversation,” said Kurland. “It’s special to join the wickedly talented David Styles on a show that has been providing news and insights to fans for years, and it will be fun to see where the twists and turns of the NASCAR season take us on the show. Being able to talk racing daily on PRN’s ‘Garage Pass’ is a dream come true, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Styles, a graduate of Western Carolina University, began his on-air career in 2010 at WPTL 920 AM in Canton, N.C., where he covered Pisgah High School basketball. He became a full-time member of PRN in 2015 and, in addition to his role as Manager of Broadcast Logistics, has participated in various on-air projects, including national radio ads and guest spots on “Fast Talk.” Styles also serves as a play-by-play announcer for Mooresville High School football on WHIP 1350 AM in Mooresville, N.C.
“'Garage Pass' has been a daily fixture in the racing community and on terrestrial radio stations for decades,” said PRN’s David Styles. “The reputation and prestige that PRN and Mark Garrow have built with this audience are extraordinary, delivering the latest news and opinion pieces to fans five days a week. I am very honored and thankful to be a small part of its future and to partner with a high-caliber broadcaster like Andrew Kurland to extend the show’s legacy.”
Garage Pass airs weekdays on over 230 stations nationwide. For a list of stations, visit GoPRN.com.
