You don’t have to wonder what the future of NASCAR looks like, you can see it right now in the Championship Four. 

Kyle Larson is the old man of the group at the ripe old age of 31.  Average age of the four is just over 28.

Three of the four are looking for their first championship.  If they don’t get it this year, they’ll have, at least, 12-15 more years to chase after titles.

You want further evidence that the tides have turned?  How about two of the four drivers eliminated in the Round of Eight; Chris Buescher just turned 31 and Tyler Reddick is 26.

And yet, there are still some well-established former champions who should be around for a while, like Joel Logano.  He’s all of 33.
