It has been suggested, over the years, that Daytona should host the season finale.  I have always been against that idea.  Too much can happen there that is totally out of the drivers’ control.  I don’t think it would be a fair way to determine the sport’s champion.

When you’re talking about sporting events that compete based on distance rather than time, there are no guarantees as to how long an event will take.

Persistence.  That’s what we saw play out at the Brickyard as Michael McDowell and Front Row Motorsports celebrated another win at one of racing’s hallowed venues.
