While most folks are happy to see Daytona in their rear view mirrors, there is one family that will do so with a tear in their eye this year.

Doug Yates and the gang at Roush yates Engines have had quite a month and a half in Florida.  First, they won the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, now they've collected the Daytona 500.  And along the way, they also went to Victory Lane in the Clash and the Xfinity race.

That they build fast engines for Daytona is not a surprise.  Doug's dad, Robert, has been building the power plants to beat at Daytona for the better part of four decades.

It's nice to see them have this kind of success. This is a family who has dedicated their lives to this sport.  Not to mention the fact that they're just nice people.

Then, there's the hope that all that hardware Doug's bringing home will also bring a big smile to Robert's face as he continues his battle with cancer
